Asia brings a unique background to his role as Program Director for the CPASS STEMM Scholars Academy. As a first-generation college graduate, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Georgia State University and expanded his knowledge in Logistics Management at the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing, China. With experience as an English teacher overseas for middle school students, Asia has embraced the beauty of diversity, effective communication, and leadership skills.
His journey in education includes three impactful summers at SMASH where he progressed from a Residential Advisor to working as the Program Coordinator, demonstrating his commitment to the program’s success. Asia played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape and professional development for underrepresented scholars venturing into science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM).
Asia has served as a Site Director for iD Tech, overseeing both day camp and residential operations. This role not only showcased his organizational prowess but also highlighted his ability to lead and manage the entire program.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Asia is an avid traveler, photographer, painter, and harbors a passion for advancing youth for a better tomorrow. With a commitment to elevate education, technology, health, and diversity, Asia is excited to continue making a positive impact in his role as Program Director for the CPASS Foundation.
