Stephen A. Martin, Jr., PhD, MPH
Dr. Martin is a leading healthcare executive and a nationally recognized authority on population health issues. Previously, he was President of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. At the American Hospital Association (AHA), he served as Executive Director of the Association for Community Health Improvement and Chief Program Officer for the Health Research & Educational Trust. Dr. Martin was formerly Health Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer for the Cook County Department of Public Health and a senior executive member of the Cook County Health & Hospitals System C-Suite, the third largest public healthcare system in the United States. He has also served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Northern Illinois Public Health Consortium and as Vice President of the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District.
